"Hello to everyone,
Today the two divisions played 8 a side in a friendly at BGC.
The result was ALL SQUARE 4 & 4 !!!!! So no one has bragging rights - no team had to buy the drinks.
I think it was a good result after a season of great competition.
My thanks to all for giving it a real go and to Kevin Burke who twice committed to the roll of emergency. Kevin you were lucky in that you were not needed but YOU MISSED ALL THE FUN.
Congratulations to David Boyd for taking his team to ONE PUT off the final.
A special mention to Alex Milholland,( Div 1 No.1) who when I checked handicaps last night had gone from 8 to 4. I mentally wrote that match off for Div 1. How would it be giving John M 5 shots ?- he did and he won 5/4 ( or somthing like that ) Go Alex.
John you will be proud.
This year our result was the best for some time and a sign of even better things to come. Some think it was the preparation but I personally think it was the SHIRTS. Thanks Chris
We look foreward to the Squad photo on the blog.
The best to all ,
Don"
Wendy and I played with Michael and Susan Bladen today. Michael is the first lifestyle member joining under the conditions announced recently by the board. Susan, a member of Royal Sydney for many years has been away from golf for a few years but scored a 5 on the 18th. Michael, a keen cricketer and a friend for many years, will be playing on Wednesdays once his handicap is established . Welcome Michael.
all the best
Kevin
