Kevin Gentlemen, Last Saturday we had a 4BBB in conjunction with the Boxmor Trophy. Of particular and outstanding note was that the 4BBB comp was won by two of our club's senior players with an excellent score of 46 points. Noel Symonds (32) and Harry Babbage (36) won a point clear of the second pair. When I gave the results at the Boxmor Dinner naming Harry and Noel there was spontaneous and loud applause. Well done. The Winter Eclectic has been completed (at the end of September) and the winner was Tony Fitzpatrick with a net of 53. Equal in second place were Terry Downing and Alan Lindsay. The Summer Eclectic starts Oct 1st and entries are accepted up until the end of the month. Good golfing to all.
Kevin Gentlemen, The annual Boxmor Trophy, where teams selected by the President and the Captain compete in a 4BBB, was played today with a field of 65. The contest was decided by a count of the teams that won their matches versus those that didn't. The President's team won by 10 matches to 8. Congratulations to the President and his team and thank you to all players for their efforts. Comp fee Bigger ball selection Ball winners value In conjunction with the comp fee going to $15 ball winners now receive a better quality ball - a $5.00 value.
