The final of the John Owens Memorial Fourball Knockout was played yesterday under difficult conditions and I must express my appreciation for both teams playing the event so we could have it finalised before Christmas. The match resulted in a win for Frank Eggert and Sam Hunt over Neville Ridge and Brian Hanrahan 4 and 3 the match finishing on the 15th. To Quote Neville Ridge "no excuses they were just to good". My thanks also to Brian Lamb who gave up his Sunday afternoon to slosh around the course refereeing the match.
At the time of typing this blog the "Heritage Park" Southern Highlands Legends Classic pro-am is still on. We are fortunate that the field has virtually remained intact. At the moment the sun is shining so here's hoping. At this stage it would appear that the use of carts will be highly unlikely however a decision on their use will be made on Tuesday afternoon. The draw will remain as before as far as hit off times, unless a change of time has been requested.

There is a private course in Nixon, Texas USA called "What Fore" one of local rules is;
"Shooting your opponents ball out of the air equals a hole in one on your next hole, but still counts as a stroke for him."
Until next week good (dry) golfing.
