The last major events of the year were played today. It was a stroke competition with both the Ted Box Trophy and the Peter Tait Trophy being decided today.
Last Wednesday we played a Single Stableford in conjunction with a 4bbb and as I wrote in the blog entry for that day there were some issues - small understatement. Everyone's stableford score was captured and reported correctly but the computer did not calculate some of the 4bbb scores correctly (the winners of the 4bbb were correct).
Additionally, the the ball winners should have been decided from the single stableford scores but for various reasons balls were awarded to the 16 players with the best 4bbb scores as calculated, with some of these scores they were calculated incorrectly.
Extensive testing on Thursday isolated the problem down to the touch screens calculating the 4bbb score. Golf Computer Systems, the supplier of the software, are now working on a fix.
