Michael Brown (30) rounds of 62, 72 for a total of 134
Kevin
Gentlemen, a very nice day - perhaps a bit hot in the afternoon - we had a 3 ball ambrose. The last card in determined the winners with a score of 57 requiring a countback. Below is an article from this month's PGA magazine. The PGA has 4 major trophies each year. The Australian PGA Seniors Championship was won by Bowral Golf Club staff member and professional player Darryl Purchase. Darryl won with rounds of 69, 74 and 67 - two shots clear of second place getter K Olsen. An excellent result for Darryl. (click on the article to make it larger) CORRECTION Michael Brown won last week's Peter Tait Trophy outright. On Saturday the result was calculated incorrectly. As it is a 2 round event, the handicap for the players for the 2 rounds is the same for both rounds - that is the handicap that the player played off in the first round. Using the correct handicap Michael won by 1 stroke instead of by a count back. For count backs we will now adopt Golf Australia's recommendations. Please see the "Competition" tab above. Peter Tait Trophy winner Michael Brown (30) rounds of 62, 72 for a total of 134 all the best
